jimbaran-beach-club-bali-800x430

This beach club is right on the sands of Jimbaran Bay, and sets itself apart from the established sunset seafood cafes to its north with a cosy modern dining room next to a ‘shack’ bar and an elevated lounging area. Complementing the stunning vistas is a selection of mojitos, coladas, beers and caipirinhas. Must-tries include the mint slush colada and the refreshingly sweet basil mojito. Its beach-shack style structure merges with a real traditional jukung boatshed, which is still used by the local fishermen to shelter their crafts.

Two large old trees have been incorporated into the dining room and the bar – the latter’s trunk furnished with racks of Jim Beam and Campari and its branches protruding through the roof. It offers a great seascape, overlooking the surf with the Four Seasons Jimbaran to the left and the Ngurah Rai International Airport runway visible at the northern end. Open for lunch and dinner, Jimbaran Beach Club serves Mediterranean, Indonesian and even Balinese selections with plenty of seafood varieties.
